Resume of the meeting of 20 August 2000 (ST & MW)

- API
        ST is interested in participating in development. They ask to start
with scope definition and list of requirements. This will be done at the
next meeting. As a result of the discussion we agree that definition of
data formats is out of scope.

- Common PLC servers
        Roberto provided Kris with the description of DSEC. Kris will
investigate how this can be integrated in the MW server framework. One
problem which was apparent from the discussion is that the DSEC model
does not support command/response paradigm - it is purely based on
messaging.

- Configuration services
        ST is interested in the approach which we want to use for MW. But they
stress that it is absolutely necessary to be able to export a consistent
configuration from the DB. They see use of files interesting to achieve
this.
