21 August 2002 A collaboration started with ST to develop a PVSS driver for CMW. The objective is to allow the surveillance of some of PS equipment from ST Scada synoptic displays. The newly developed C++ RDA client will be used for this.
July 2002 Slavek Maludzinski with Nikolai developed the RDA client side in C++. Potential users: SP, Passerelle PS Motif applications and TOF.
26 April 2002 A prototype of the Biscoto CMW servers was developed by Kris
28 November 2001 The paper describing RDA has been presented at ICALEPCS
20 November 2001 At the LHC-CP meeting Kris presented the CMW solution to access OPC servers and demonstrated the access using the CMW Device Explorer. Stephen Page reported on his tests of CMW for asynchronous requests.
16 November 2001 Kris and Roland presented the CMW Device Explorer at the PCR software meeting . PS, SL-Equip and OPC devices can be browsed and accessed from the explorer.
11 October 2001 Stephen Page has evaluated the performance of CMW with a version using CORBA thread pool. His evaluation concluded on the high scalability of this solution. A presentation was made by Stephen.
5 October 2001 New version of PS server which is using the fast update version of RDA and the new server framework has been deployed on AD computers. AD Java applications will now be tested with the new servers. The fast update extension allows now to send 1000 updates to a client in less then 50ms.
14 June 2001 It has been decided to develop a new version of the server framework and the PS GM Adapter. The RDA has to be improved for subscription to be capable of supporting several thousand of updates per second on the current PS LynxOS platform.
19 June 2001 A prototype of SL Equip Adapter has been made. It can be run either "native" on LynxOS and access eqsrv and mil1553 or it can be run as a gateway on Linux and access MH Equip server.
3 April 2001 The feasibility of providing a "Passarelle" to the CMW from Excel and VB has been demonstrated. Two solutions have been shown as feasible and both offer good performance.
2 April 2001 The CMW GM adapter has been installed on some LynxOS 3.1 in PS. It allows access to PS equipment and is using CMW server framework, RDA C++ implementation and ORBacus CORBA.
29 March 2001 The development of the SL-Equip adapter has started. The goal is to provide this adapter on LynxOS 3.1 in May 2001. The possibility of running it on LynxOS 2.5.1 will be then investigated.
27 March 2001 The CMW OPC adapter, a development done by Jens Andersson, has been completed. The CMW OPC gateway has been demonstrated with the BT Target server. The OPC gateway is generic and configurable from an ORACLE DB.
25 Sept. 2000 11h15 Presentation on Java Messaging Service and SonicMQ by Mitchell Horovitz, the Technical Product Manager of SonicMQ in the PS Auditorium   (6-2-004).
18 Sept. 2000  Nikolai installed the RDA package, which implements the Middleware ORB API on the Middleware Linux setup. The ORBacus name server has been installed as well.
30 August 2000 Stefan has finished his project and is leaving. He implemented a test client for MoM which is using the public MW API and simulating servers which feed the client via JMS.
10 August 2000 Kris made a new version of the CMW Web server on the central Web services. Still under construction.
